How It Works

Testosterone enanthate is a pro-drug. After injection, the body converts it into free testosterone, which binds androgen receptors in muscle, bone, skin, and the brain. These activated receptors switch on genes that drive protein synthesis, red blood cell production, and bone growth.

Testosterone is also converted into two active compounds: DHT (via 5-alpha reductase), which strengthens androgen effects in the prostate and skin, and estradiol (via aromatase), which supports bone strength and helps regulate hormone output. The enanthate ester has a half-life of about four to five days, extended further by the oil depot, so spacing doses correctly avoids peaks that are too high or troughs that are too low.

Drug Interactions
